I didn't make this for a child but for my husband, yet he was as happy as a child when he saw it.
Ingredients
leftover risen dough
chicken/pork frankfurters
1 egg
pepper
mustard
ketchup
How to prepare butterfly hot dog
- From the leftover dough, make thin rolls about a finger thick and shape the wings as shown in the first photo.
- Shape the butterfly body as follows: wrap a dough roll in a spiral around a frankfurter, from one end to the other. Place it above the wings.
- Brush with beaten egg, sprinkle with pepper, and bake in the oven until golden.
- Decorate: make the eyes with mustard and the stripes on the body with ketchup.
