Wok
The wok is a traditional Chinese cooking pan. It is characterized by its rounded concave bottom. This allows the bottom of the pan to get very hot while the edges stay at a lower temperature, which makes it possible to fry different foods at different rates. This way, foods that cook faster can be pushed to the sides while foods that take longer to fry stay in the center.
My wok is made of cast iron and has a 35 cm diameter and a depth of 10 cm, it's very spacious. I bought it a few years ago from Metro. I can prepare everything from Chinese food to jam in it.
