The Ideal Kitchen Sink
The sink in my new kitchen had to be just like the one in my old kitchen:
- first of all, super large so I can wash anything easily in it (oven trays, cutting boards, or refrigerator shelves for example); this sink is 62 x 65 cm
- it should not be stainless steel because I cannot stand the stains that remain after every use; white ceramic is low-maintenance and easy to clean
- because the sink is so large, it absolutely needs a faucet with an extractable hose so it can be washed easily; the faucet is satin stainless steel, stains are not as visible as on regular stainless steel.
This model from Ikea was the only one that fulfilled all my wishes and although stylistically I feel it does not fit perfectly with the rest of the kitchen (the fronts are more modern, the sink is more classic), I chose it for the practical aspects I mentioned above. A small compromise made in the name of utility.
