Delicious donuts in a healthier version, without frying in oil. They're made quickly and are so beautiful and fluffy! Aren't they tempting?
Ingredients
110g sugar
1 egg
70g melted butter
150ml milk
180g flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
zest from 1/4 lemon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
For Coating
50g butter
50g sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Makes: 6 pieces
How to prepare baked donuts
- Beat the sugar with the egg until the mixture becomes like white foam. You can mix manually or with a mixer.
- Add the melted and cooled butter. Mix again for 1 minute.
- Add the milk and finally the flour mixed with baking powder, nutmeg, and lemon zest. This time mix manually with a whisk, just until the flour is incorporated.
- Grease 6 muffin forms with butter and dust with flour. Portion the batter into the forms, filling them about 2/3 full.
- Bake the donuts in the oven at 190°C for 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and then from the forms. If you greased the forms well, the donuts won't stick at all and you won't have any problems removing them.
- Melt the butter over low heat. Mix the sugar with cinnamon.
- Coat the donuts with butter on all sides. Roll them in the flavored sugar.
- They're delicious warm, cold, and even the next day.
