For me this is a glass of memories, because banana milk is tied to my university years. There was an Arab restaurant on Napoca Street, the only one in Cluj at the time that served banana milk. And whenever we left classes we would stop there for a glass of calcium and magnesium. That is how I consider it now, back then it was just a delicious drink.
Only the first 3 ingredients in the recipe are mandatory (banana, milk and sugar), the rest are optional, according to your taste and preference.
Ingredients
1 large ripe banana
200 ml cold milk (soy or almond milk for the vegan version)
1 packet vanilla sugar (bourbon, Dr. Oetker)
1 pinch cinnamon
1 pinch nutmeg
1 tiny pinch cardamom (very little because it has a strong aroma)
10 ground hazelnuts (almonds, walnuts, pistachios, etc. optional)
a little cocoa for decoration
Servings: 1
How to prepare banana milk shake
- Put the banana slices, aromatics, hazelnuts and half of the milk in the blender. Blend well.
- Add the rest of the milk and blend until foamy.
- Dust the inside of a glass with a little cocoa (or chocolate powder) and then pour the banana milk into it. Serve immediately.
