Jolca Manzanilla Olives
I've told you before that for many years I didn't understand olives and their appearance during holidays on Romanian platters as if they were some kind of delicacy. After many years I had the chance to taste them in Greece, Italy and Spain, I understood their flavor and found my favorites. In general I prefer green olives, and the variety I've become most attached to is manzanilla. They have a delicate, slightly nutty flavor, they're not bitter.
I buy green olives from Italian stores and delis in Cluj. But recently I also found some olives I really like in the supermarket. I have about 10 bags in my pantry 😊
Ingredients
I buy Jolca manzanilla olives from Cora, they are pitted and packaged in plastic bags. They make an excellent olive and walnut salad. I put them on wine tasting platters and sometimes I marinate them.
