Recipe: Marinated Cheese

A dish that will save you anytime - a bruschetta or salad with homemade croutons will no longer be ordinary if you add these marinated cheese cubes. And remember, this recipe is addictive once you try it!

Ingredients

500 g feta-style cheese (telemea)
3 garlic cloves or more, to taste
1 bay leaf
peppercorns and coriander seeds (or thyme, basil)
oregano
olive oil

How to prepare marinated cheese

  1. Cut the cheese into cubes, crush the garlic, peppercorns, and coriander seeds.
  2. Place the cheese pieces in a jar along with the bay leaf, alternating layers of cheese, pepper, coriander, garlic, and oregano until the jar is full. Pour olive oil to cover everything and seal the jar tightly.
  3. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for 2 weeks.
  4. Note: Olive oil solidifies when cold, so you need to take the jar out of the refrigerator 1 hour before serving.
  5. The aromatic olive oil left after you finish the cheese can be used for sauces.
