For this dish I have to thank my neighbors at the gazebo, they are very kind people. Besides helping us throughout the construction with a ladder here, an axe there, now every time we go there, they give us something from their wonderful garden. I received apples, honey, and on Sunday I came home with a bag full of beans and celery leaves. I won't even tell you how nice the beans were, plump and without any strings, I think you can see them in the photo. I need to stop by this week to thank them and treat them to a good dessert. 😉
Ingredients
800g yellow beans
8 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon sweet paprika
1/2 teaspoon pepper
salt
1/4 bunch parsley
2 sprigs dill (optional)
4 tablespoons oil
Servings: 3
How to prepare sautéed yellow beans with garlic
- Clean the beans by trimming the ends and break them into 2-3 pieces.
- In hot oil, add 6 crushed garlic cloves and sauté quickly. Then add the beans and continue to sauté for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Cover the beans with 2 cups of water, add the seasonings and finely chopped herbs. Put the lid on and simmer over medium heat for about 25-30 minutes. Check if they are cooked after this time and if not, let them cook longer with the lid on.
- Add the remaining 2 crushed garlic cloves and cook for another 5 minutes without the lid, to reduce the sauce.
- Serve simply with toasted bread or as a side dish.
