Recipe: Crispy Pizza-Style Breadsticks

This is a recipe from Rachael Ray's show, very quick. Plus I used my Chips & Dip tray for the first time.

Ingredients

350 g pizza dough (water+flour+salt)
assorted grated cheese (mine was mozzarella+edam+cheddar from Hochland)
spicy salami slices (like pepperoni, I used Hungarian salami with hot paprika)
oregano

How to prepare crispy pizza-style breadsticks

  1. Roll out the dough into a rectangular shape as thin as you can, like when making pizza. Place the salami slices on half of the dough.
  2. Then sprinkle plenty of cheese over the salami.
  3. Fold the uncovered half of the dough over the filling.
    Cut the dough widthwise into strips about 2 fingers thick (use a pizza cutter or a serrated knife that cuts dough easily, even a box cutter)
    Take each strip and twist it from both ends, as if wringing water from a towel
    Place the twisted strips on a baking tray covered with parchment paper
    Sprinkle oregano over the breadsticks
  4. Bake until the breadsticks become crispy, at 220C
  5. Serve with tomato basil sauce
