Grilled Beef Steak
Veal Grilling Recipes Meat Dishes
Forgot about chimichurri? Let me remind you how good it is even for marinating meat. 😉 On Saturday I went to the gazebo to roast eggplants for winter and among other things I made a simple and good beef grill. I am starting to get the hang of beef, the failures are fewer and fewer. 😋
Ingredients
5 beef steaks (I had 2 beef and 3 veal)
1 portion chimichurri
5 small cubes of butter for serving
How to prepare grilled beef steak
- Wash the meat well, then dry it with kitchen towels. Pour about half of the chimichurri over it and massage the meat with your hands so it is well covered with the marinade. Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours.
- Take the meat out of the refrigerator at least 1 hour before grilling, to give it time to come to room temperature.
- Heat the grill (grill pan or charcoal grill - I prepared them on a charcoal grill)
- Wipe the meat slices of marinade with kitchen towels. Place them on the grill over high heat for 2 minutes on each side to sear the meat.
For charcoal grill: then move the pieces of meat toward the edge of the grill, so there is no direct fire underneath, and let them cook for about 7-10 minutes on each side (for beef steaks) or 5 minutes on each side (for veal steaks).
For grill pan: either turn the heat to low under the pan and continue to fry, or transfer the meat to a baking sheet and put it in the oven at 200C (400F) for 15-20 minutes. - Cover the pieces of meat with aluminum foil after taking them off the grill and let them rest for at least 10 minutes. Serve with a piece of butter and chimichurri sauce.
