Strawberry Yogurt Popsicles
Simple Recipes Desserts Recipes for Kids Yogurt
Here's a recipe for Children's Day (June 1st), but also for the hot days ahead. It's simple and healthy, kids will love eating them.
If you don't have popsicle molds (but you can easily find them at dollar stores and they're cheap) you can improvise with disposable plastic cups or yogurt containers, and you can use either wooden sticks collected from store-bought popsicles, or the small plastic spoons given in coffee bars for stirring (found at supermarkets), you know which ones I mean, right?
If you have leftover strawberry sauce, add cold milk and blend until frothy to make a healthy shake for the cook! 😊
Ingredients
20 strawberries
3 small yogurts (fruit or vanilla flavored, it's important that they go well with strawberries; I used Activia with muesli)
1 tablespoon sugar
Servings: 4
How to prepare strawberry yogurt popsicles
- Blend the strawberries with 2 tablespoons of water until you get a smooth paste. Then cook them with the sugar on medium heat until the sugar melts and it comes to a few boils. Let it cool.
- Pour the strawberry sauce about 2 fingers high into the popsicle molds. I used a small funnel to avoid getting the sides dirty. Freeze for at least 1 hour until the sauce is frozen.
- Fill the molds with yogurt, also using the funnel, and insert the sticks in the center. Forget about them in the freezer for several hours, I left them overnight.
- To remove the popsicles from the molds, run them under hot water for 30 seconds.
