Beef Crostini with Onion Jam and Blue Cheese
A dream trio. If you have the onion jam ready, the rest is just a matter of assembly.
Ingredients
1 slice beef ribeye (about 3 cm thick)
1 portion red onion jam
blue cheese (I used Stilton)
baguette slices
extra virgin olive oil, black pepper
How to prepare beef crostini with onion jam and blue cheese
- Drizzle the baguette slices with oil and toast in a grill pan until they get nice grill marks.
- Season the ribeye generously with salt, brush with oil, and sear in a super hot grill pan for 2 minutes per side (for medium-rare). Slice into strips.
- Cut the cheese into thin slices—if it crumbles, that's okay.
- Put a little onion jam on each baguette slice (about 1 teaspoon). Arrange a strip of ribeye on top. Scatter cheese slices over it.
- Arrange the crostini on a serving plate. Grind black pepper over each crostini. Drizzle all with olive oil.
