Chicken Skewers with Harissa

They are slightly spicy from the harissa and very aromatic. Using the same marinade, you can also prepare skewers from pork or lamb.
Ingredients
2 chicken breasts (or boneless thighs)
80 ml olive oil
juice of 1 lemon
1 sprig rosemary
1 heaping tablespoon harissa
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Servings: 3 (10 skewers)
How to prepare chicken skewers with harissa
- Cut the chicken breast into cubes or strips slightly thicker than a finger.
- Place the meat in a bowl. Mix the remaining ingredients in a cup and pour over the meat. Mix well so the meat is covered with marinade. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
* You can chop the rosemary into the marinade if you really like the flavor; if not, put the whole sprig in - it will just add aroma to the marinade - Thread the meat onto skewers as shown in photos 2 and 3. Don't throw away the marinade. Heat the grill well.
- Place the skewers on the grill and leave for 10 minutes (on an electric grill). Then brush the skewers with the remaining marinade and turn them. As soon as you've turned them, brush the other side too. Grill for another 10 minutes. Brush the skewers with marinade again and turn them on their sides, about 2 minutes on each side.
- Serve immediately with harissa for those who want spicier skewers and a mixed salad.
