Exotic Jam
Fasting Recipes Jam and Preserves Fruits
I collect gourmet jams. New, interesting, surprising combinations. Combinations that take classic recipes to another level.
Recently I saw on the Bonduelle site a recipe that can showcase my gourmet jam collection even more. Florin filled a Swiss roll with a flavorful young carrot and orange jam. He then added an irresistible crust of puffed rice and walnuts which... well, see for yourselves, it's irresistible! 🤤 All of these are great ideas that update the classic jam roll recipe!
I hope these ideas inspire you too!
Ingredients
200g pineapple
200g mango (1 piece)
150ml passion fruit pulp (I left just a few seeds for appearance)
2 oranges
1 lime
200g sugar
How to prepare exotic jam
- Cut the mango and pineapple into cubes. Remove the flesh from the oranges (without membranes and seeds). Zest the lime and remove the lime flesh.
* citrus flesh is removed as shown in this video - Put all the fruit (they weighed 650g in total) together with the sugar in a pot and cook for 20 minutes (at first over low heat until the fruit releases its juice). If desired, you can briefly blend the jam in a food processor (about 4-5 pulses; I blended it to make it easier to spread).
- Put in a clean jar and store in a cool place. It keeps in unsterilized jars for about 2 weeks. It's great for filling Swiss rolls, crepes, on cottage cheese dumplings, on toast with butter, or mixed with Greek yogurt.
