Pan-Fried Salmon
Quick Recipes Simple Recipes Fish and Seafood
Simple and quick! Using this method, you can also prepare other types of fish fillets in a pan, just adjusting the frying time based on the thickness of the fillets. I love this recipe because the salmon skin turns out very crispy. I didn't take photos because this Gordon Ramsay video is more than detailed in its explanations.
Ingredients
1 salmon fillet with skin
lemon pepper (or ground pepper)
sea salt
How to prepare pan-fried salmon
- Score the fillet on the skin side. Pat very dry with paper towels.
- Season with salt and pepper on both sides, including in the scores.
- Heat 3 tablespoons of oil well in a pan.
- Place the fillet in the pan skin-side down. Fry for about 5 minutes (until you see that 2/3 of the fillet has changed color on the edges).
- Flip to the other side and fry for another 3 minutes.
- Flip back skin-side down and remove the pan from heat.
- Serve within the next few minutes, generously drizzled with lemon juice.
