Recipe: Sesame Rice

Delicious and attractive in the shortest time.

You can prepare it especially during fasting periods, as sesame seeds have a high calcium content.

Ingredients

1 cup basmati rice (or long grain rice)
50g sesame seeds
1/2 tablespoon oil
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
4 green onion stalks
salt

Servings: 5-6

How to prepare sesame rice

  1. Toast the sesame seeds on low heat (without adding any fat) until lightly browned.
  2. Boil the rice in plenty of salted water until al dente (according to package instructions). Drain and let it cool for 5 minutes, fluffing it occasionally with a fork.
  3. Add the toasted sesame seeds, both types of oil, and sliced green onion. Mix well and adjust for salt. Cover with a lid until serving.
