Ingredients
1 cup basmati rice (or long grain rice)
50g sesame seeds
1/2 tablespoon oil
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
4 green onion stalks
salt
Servings: 5-6
How to prepare sesame rice
- Toast the sesame seeds on low heat (without adding any fat) until lightly browned.
- Boil the rice in plenty of salted water until al dente (according to package instructions). Drain and let it cool for 5 minutes, fluffing it occasionally with a fork.
- Add the toasted sesame seeds, both types of oil, and sliced green onion. Mix well and adjust for salt. Cover with a lid until serving.
