Baked Fish with Oregano and Lemon
Quick Recipes Simple Recipes Fish and Seafood
I was inspired by a simple Greek recipe for sardines. If you find sardines you can make the original version - arrange the seasoned sardines in a single layer in the pan and follow the recipe. It can also be prepared with other types of fish, including salmon. Or... after seasoning the fish and drizzling with lemon juice and oil, you can prepare it on the grill - that is also a tasty and healthy option.
Ingredients
6 fish fillets with skin (mackerel)
1 lemon
oregano
3 tablespoons oil
salt, pepper
How to prepare baked fish with oregano and lemon
- I thawed the fish in milk. Drained and dried with paper towels so it would get crispy on top.
- Seasoned with salt and pepper on both sides. Sprinkled with oregano, also on both sides.
- Drizzled with lemon juice.
- Placed in a baking pan with parchment paper, skin side up, and drizzled with oil.
- Baked at 220C for 15 minutes.
- Served with lemon slices. You can also serve with boiled potatoes as a side dish.
