Black Tea with Lemon
This is how I like to drink my black tea. Earl Grey is also good with lemon, but I like to add a bit of cognac when it's very cold outside. The macerated lemons are wonderful at the end, don't leave them at the bottom of the cup 😉
Ingredients
1 black tea bag
1 teaspoon syrup from preserved lemons
1 slice lemon from syrup
1 tablespoon cognac (optional)
Servings: 1
How to prepare black tea with lemon
- Prepare a cup of tea in a tea press, teapot, or directly in a mug with infuser.
- Place the syrup, lemon slice, and cognac (if using) in a cup. Pour the strained tea over them. When it comes into contact with the lemon, the tea lightens in color, becoming more golden.
- Stir and serve hot.
