Carassia Blanc de Blancs from Carastelec

My favorite sparkling wine of 2017. The sparkling wine with which I will celebrate Romania Day tomorrow.

It is brut, produced using the traditional method, meaning bottle-fermented, from Chardonnay. If you imagined even for a moment that I have a weakness for Carastelec because it's located 10 km from my grandmother, that's not the case. Others share my opinion. It won silver at The Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships 😊

It is good, very fresh, with a fine and lively perlage that lasts a long time. An elegant sparkling wine. It pairs well with foie gras, goat cheese, asparagus, sushi, fish.
