Chocolate Brownie
Ingredients
120g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
60g high-fat butter
2 eggs
150g sugar
30g flour
10g cocoa powder
1 pinch salt
100g dried fruits (50g brown raisins + 50g dried figs; optional)
How to prepare chocolate brownie
- Soak the raisins and figs in warm water, to which you can add a shot of rum if you wish. Leave until the batter is ready.
- Melt the chocolate over a water bath. While the bowl is still over the steam, gradually add the butter in cubes, mixing until each batch melts.
- Separately, beat the eggs with the sugar using a mixer until you get a pale yellow cream, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the egg cream over the melted chocolate and mix gently with a whisk.
- Mix the flour with the cocoa and salt and fold into the batter, mixing gently with a whisk.
- Drain the fruits of liquid, and chop the figs finely. Add the dried fruits to the batter.
- Grease a pan (21 x 11 cm) with butter (if you know the pan sticks, you can line it with parchment paper) and pour in the batter. Level it, paying special attention to the center where it tends to gather more.
- Bake at 170C for approximately 30 minutes. Let cool completely, then it can be sliced.
