Pico de Gallo
Ingredients
3 medium tomatoes
1 small onion
1 hot pepper
1/2 bunch parsley (or cilantro)
juice from 1/2 lime
salt, pepper
How to prepare pico de gallo
- Cut the tomatoes in half and remove the seedy part. Dice the tomatoes into small cubes.
- Finely chop the onion, hot pepper, and parsley as well.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the lime juice over the vegetables and toss gently.
- Let it sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to combine and for it to be nearly covered by its own juice.
