Recipe: Remoulade Sauce

Remoulade sauce is of French origin, but has become popular in several countries, each with their own version. It's a mayonnaise-based sauce to which horseradish, pickles, and capers are usually added. It's perfect to serve alongside grilled fish or breaded fish.

Below is my quick version, recently discovered. I prepared it to go with fish on New Year's Eve.

Ingredients

3 heaping tablespoons mayonnaise
3 teaspoons chimichurri sauce

Servings: 2

How to prepare remoulade sauce

  1. Drain the chimichurri sauce of excess oil. You can use a small tea strainer or simply press it against the edge of a plate.
  2. Add the chimichurri to the mayonnaise (preferably homemade) and mix until smooth.
  3. Put everything in a small sauce bowl. Keep refrigerated until serving.
