Sweet and Spicy Shrimp

Ingredients
400 g peeled shrimp
1 tablespoon ginger and garlic paste
1 small onion
1 red chili pepper
50 ml sweet chili sauce
50 ml passata
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1/2 lime
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 egg
2 tablespoons oil
salt
How to prepare sweet and spicy shrimp
- Heat the oil well. Quickly sauté the ginger and garlic paste, just a few seconds, until you can smell it.
- Add the onion and chili pepper chopped as finely as possible. Let them soften.
- Add the shrimp and sauté for about 2 minutes.
- Add the sweet chili sauce, passata, fish sauce, and lime juice. Add another 1/2 glass of water in which you've dissolved the cornstarch. Boil everything for about 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Beat the egg well with 1 tablespoon of water and pour in a thin stream over the entire surface of the sauce. Then stir quickly to create egg ribbons.
- Adjust salt to taste.
- Serve with rice boiled with salt and a little turmeric for color.
