Hey there! I'm back! Did you miss me? 😉 I hope so, because I've prepared this soup for you - a natural remedy that keeps colds at bay.
Ingredients
1.5L beef broth (or chicken broth)
5 potatoes
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
1 generous pinch of ground caraway (or to taste)
1 tablespoon lard (or butter)
4-6 large garlic cloves
salt, pepper
For serving: cheese, homemade croutons, parsley
Servings: 3
How to prepare czech garlic soup
- Put the broth on to boil together with the marjoram, caraway, and lard.
- When it starts to boil, add the diced potatoes and crushed garlic (paste). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Let it simmer for 20-30 minutes (or until the potatoes are fully cooked). Adjust the salt.
- Grate cheese into each bowl. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and croutons. Pour the hot soup over them.
