Recipe: Czech Garlic Soup

Hey there! I'm back! Did you miss me? 😉 I hope so, because I've prepared this soup for you - a natural remedy that keeps colds at bay.

Ingredients

1.5L beef broth (or chicken broth)
5 potatoes
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
1 generous pinch of ground caraway (or to taste)
1 tablespoon lard (or butter)
4-6 large garlic cloves
salt, pepper

For serving: cheese, homemade croutons, parsley

Servings: 3

How to prepare czech garlic soup

  1. Put the broth on to boil together with the marjoram, caraway, and lard.
  2. When it starts to boil, add the diced potatoes and crushed garlic (paste). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Let it simmer for 20-30 minutes (or until the potatoes are fully cooked). Adjust the salt.
  4. Grate cheese into each bowl. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and croutons. Pour the hot soup over them.
