Grill Seasoning
A versatile seasoning you can use for any type of grilled meat. By changing just one or two ingredients, you can create different flavors to impress your friends at the barbecue.
Ingredients
70 g coarse salt
50 g brown sugar
50 g sweet paprika (or sweet smoked paprika)
2 tablespoons black pepper
2 tablespoons dried oregano
2 tablespoons dried thyme
1 tablespoon hot paprika (optional)
Variations
Southwestern seasoning: Replace some of the paprika with cumin, coriander, and chili powder
Indian seasoning: Replace oregano and thyme with turmeric, curry powder, ground ginger, and cardamom
Mediterranean seasoning: Replace some of the oregano and thyme with tarragon, marjoram, rosemary, and dried dill (or basil). Omit the hot paprika.
How to prepare grill seasoning
- Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container. Keeps for 6 months.
- Suitable for all types of meat.
