Tuna and Bean Toasts
Quick Recipes Simple Recipes Fish and Seafood Sandwiches
On vacation I ate this dish but served as a salad. The tuna paste was placed on lettuce leaves, onion and bean grains were sprinkled on top, and tomato slices were placed on the sides, all drizzled with a little olive oil. It was excellent and I immediately thought about transforming the salad into toasts for our site.
Ingredients
1 can tuna, 180g (preferably in olive oil)
1 can white beans, 240g
1 large tomato
1 onion
pepper, chili
bread slices
Servings: 6-7 toasts
How to prepare tuna and bean toasts
- Drain the tuna, keeping the oil. Drain the beans from the can. Dice the onion and tomatoes into small cubes. Toast the bread slices.
- Mash the tuna with a fork, likewise mash 150g beans until it becomes a paste. Mix the two together and pepper to taste.
- On the bread slices, drizzle a little oil from the tuna. Then spread a layer of the bean and tuna paste. Sprinkle onion and tomato cubes on top and a few whole bean grains. Add pepper and sprinkle some chili if desired. Drizzle a little more oil from the tuna over the toasts.
