Mint and Cucumber Raita

A refreshing sauce to accompany tandoori chicken.
Ingredients
50g yogurt
50g sour cream
1 tablespoon chopped mint
1/2 long cucumber
1/2 teaspoon ginger and garlic paste
1/3 teaspoon ground cumin
1/3 teaspoon ground black pepper
salt
How to prepare mint and cucumber raita
- Mix the mint with a little yogurt and blend until the mint is very finely chopped.
- Add the rest of the yogurt, sour cream, and spices. Stir by hand this time.
- Peel the cucumber and cut it in half lengthwise. Scoop out the seeds with a spoon. Grate the cucumber using the large holes of a grater. Squeeze the grated cucumber in your fist or in a piece of cheesecloth.
- Add the cucumber to the sauce and mix well. Taste for salt.
- It's better after sitting in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
