Mint and Cucumber Raita

Ingredients

50g yogurt
50g sour cream
1 tablespoon chopped mint
1/2 long cucumber
1/2 teaspoon ginger and garlic paste
1/3 teaspoon ground cumin
1/3 teaspoon ground black pepper
salt

How to prepare mint and cucumber raita

  1. Mix the mint with a little yogurt and blend until the mint is very finely chopped.
  2. Add the rest of the yogurt, sour cream, and spices. Stir by hand this time.
  3. Peel the cucumber and cut it in half lengthwise. Scoop out the seeds with a spoon. Grate the cucumber using the large holes of a grater. Squeeze the grated cucumber in your fist or in a piece of cheesecloth.
  4. Add the cucumber to the sauce and mix well. Taste for salt.
  5. It's better after sitting in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
