Pasta with Tuna
Quick Recipes Simple Recipes Pasta Fish and Seafood
Super super simple and quick. The taste is very delicate. It's a pity it's not a very cheap recipe, because the final result depends on the quality of the tuna can.
Ingredients
250g short pasta
4 tablespoons pine nuts
2 tablespoons capers
1 can of tuna in olive oil (good quality; 250g)
2 garlic cloves
1 bay leaf
1/2 lemon
chili
2 pinches pepper
salt
Servings: 2-3
How to prepare pasta with tuna
- Bring plenty of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions.
- In a pan (without fat), add the pine nuts and toast, shaking the pan until lightly golden. Remove from the pan.
- In the same pan, drain the oil from the tuna and let it heat slightly. Add the torn bay leaf, thinly sliced garlic cloves, pepper, and chili to taste (I added about 8 grinds). Reduce heat to low and let the oil infuse for about 10 minutes. It shouldn't get too hot, so keep an eye on it and if it starts to sizzle, remove it from heat. When it calms down, put it back on the heat.
- Remove the bay leaf from the oil. Add the lemon juice and the tuna flaked with a fork to the pan. Let it heat for about 2 minutes. Add the pine nuts and capers and remove the pan from heat until the pasta is cooked.
- Add about 5 tablespoons of pasta water over the tuna, then the drained pasta. Mix well so the pasta is coated with the tuna sauce and taste for salt, adding if necessary.
