Savory Granola
Crunchy mix, great for sprinkling on cream soups, in salads, on hummus, yogurt (labneh), roasted vegetables.
Ingredients
1 small Lebanese pita bread
30 g sunflower seeds
30 g pumpkin seeds
20 g pine nuts
10 g flax seeds
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
1 tablespoon oil
salt, black pepper, chili
How to prepare savory granola
- Place the seeds in a bowl and drizzle with oil. Add the spices (cumin, coriander, and turmeric) and mix well.
- Place the pita bread on a baking tray and cover with the seasoned seed mixture. Sprinkle with coarse salt, freshly ground black pepper, and chili if desired.
- Bake at 170°C for 15 minutes until the pita is golden at the edges.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then crumble the pita by hand into small pieces.
- Mix everything together and spread on the baking tray, allowing to cool completely.
- Store in a sealed jar.
