Recipe: Hasselback Potatoes

Baked potatoes, but in a very cute shape.

Ingredients

4 medium potatoes
salt
pepper
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil

How to prepare hasselback potatoes

  1. Wash the potatoes well with a sponge. Dry them with paper towels.
  2. Cut thin slices widthwise, but not all the way through. To make it easier, place a spoon on each side of the potato and the knife won't go all the way to the bottom.
  3. Sprinkle salt and pepper on the potatoes.
  4. Melt the butter and mix it with oil. Pour a tablespoon on each potato.
    * you can use flavored oil with garlic, chili, rosemary, etc.
  5. Bake the potatoes at 220°C (425°F) for 1 hour and 15 minutes (depending on the size of the potatoes, it's better to check them before taking them out). Serve warm with extra butter or sour cream mixed with green onion.
