Recipe: Homemade Muesli Yogurt

How simple it is to prepare at home! I prepare everything in a jar, put the lid on, and I have breakfast for the next day. A breakfast full of vitamins and fiber, without unnecessary added sugar, because the yogurt gets its sweetness from the dried fruits.

Ingredients

400g plain yogurt (unflavored)
100g dried fruits (I used 75g raisins, 25g dried figs)
50-100g rolled oats
milk
1 pinch ground cinnamon (optional)

How to prepare homemade muesli yogurt

  1. Gently warm a little milk and pour it over the dried fruits to cover them. Let them soak for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Remove the dried fruits from the milk and put them in an 800ml jar. Add 3-4 tablespoons of the milk they soaked in. Blend with an immersion blender until you get a paste.
  3. Add the yogurt and cinnamon over the fruit purée and blend well for about 1 minute.
    * all these operations can also be done in a regular blender.
  4. Put the rolled oats in the remaining milk from the dried fruits to soak for at least 30 minutes. If needed, add more milk - it should perfectly cover the oats.
    * if you want thicker yogurt, similar to the consistency of rice pudding, use 100g oats, and if you want it thinner, use only 50g
  5. When the oats have absorbed all the milk, add them to the yogurt mixture and blend well.
  6. Can be consumed immediately or close the jar with a lid and store in the refrigerator.
